Lindsey celebrated her 4th birthday on November 4th (it was her golden birthday). We had a Sunday birthday dinner a few days before her birthday with my Grandparents and my Mom, (who was out staying with them to help them get ready to move). On her actual birthday, Lindsey wanted to go to Chuck-e-Cheese's and we had a great time. We were blessed that my Mom was willing to come with us that night too. I think her favorite gift was a baby accessories kit pictured above. She is such a fun and loving little thing! She makes us laugh a lot! We love you, Lindsey.

P.S. The princess cake is definitely the saddest cake I have ever seen. We were in a hurry and had to frost it when it was still hot.

Tim and Kimberly

We had a lot of fun when Brandon's brother, Tim, and our sister-in-law, Kimberly came out to visit us. They were great guests and so much fun to have around! One of the things they did that the kids liked the most was build a fort in the living room and Kimberly even slept out there with them (what a good sport!). We also celebrated Kimberly's birthday a few days late.

Kara is soaring

Kara received a "High Flyer" award from school. This is an award they give out three times a year to students who are doing well. We are proud of you Kara!

Halloween 2008

Here are some pictures of our kids on Halloween night (and one from before a Halloween party with friends). They had a fun time trick or treating, Trunk or Treating the night before, carving pumpkins, etc., etc. As you can see from the photos, Zach did not want to hold still or get his picture taken. The girl's darling witch costumes were made by their Grandma Price.

Josh is a Bear!

Josh has really been enjoying Scouts the last year and we were proud of him being able to move up to the Bear level recently.

Haircuts

A few weeks ago, Kara and Lindsey got really cute short haircuts. I guess Lindsey didn't thnk it was short enough. Last Friday she was playing with a friend in Kara's beauty shop corner, she couldn't find our fake scissors. She came upstairs and got some of our paper scissors and then started hacking away. I found her when she had some cut almost up to her head on either side. Our nice beautician friend tried to help us fix it, but it will take some time to grow out and look more normal. Good thing she still has such a cute face.

The Greatest Show On Earth!

I don't know how to put these photos in a neat little square yet so bear with me. It was a cold and wet Saturday, but we had a blast taking the kids to see the circus in town. Zach even slept for the second half. What a champ!
Josh liked the tigers best, Kara liked the elephants, and Lindsey liked the 4-7 motorcycle riders who rode round and round and upside down in a metal sphere (very impressive!).
Lindsey cut her own hair this week with paper scissors and it is very interesting. I will try and post a picture later this week.

Funny Lindsey

I found this funny picture of Lindsey tonight when I was looking for the school pictures. This is from the fourth of the July when we were doing fireworks. Lindsey hated the sound and the smell of the fireworks. But she couldn't cover her nose and ears at the same time, so she talked her sister into helping her out.

Starting School

I just wanted to include the kids pictures when they started school in August. They were all so excited! Kara said she was also a bit nervous. She told us she had "butterflies in her tummy."
Josh and Kara get to go together to Red Hawk Ridge across the street. Lindsey and I are doing a co-op preschool with some other Moms and girls in the Ward.
So far they are really liking school, and enjoying their teachers. I feel like this year everyone has a better idea of how things will go and how to get things done efficiently. I hope it will continue!

We have another walker

Zach started walking about 2 weeks ago. Please forgive the quality of the footage, but at least it will give you an idea.

Smart Baby

Zach is obsessed with phones right now. This afternoon I had to take the downstairs phone away from him so I could use it and he was not happy. A few minutes later I realized he had climbed up the stairs and I found him sitting there proudly playing with the upstairs phone. I think we may have to watch out for this boy. He knows what he wants and he is pretty determined to get it.
